The story goes that Anthony Cooper (our Dad) was asking all the very attractive women for a dance. Margarite was next in line, so she got the dance! The rest is history!

They eventually got married.

Margarite's friend Rebecca had met her partner for life Terry. In 1962 Rebecca was the first to leave Singapore to meet Terry who was her husband.

Margarite was not far behind and left Singapore to join her husband Anthony for a life as a British Army wife in 1963.
